Alumni Manager Duty
1. The Alumni Manager shall be absolutely bound by the constitution of the IMC of Wah Yan College (the "Constitution"), as amended, supplemented or otherwise modified from time to time.
2. The Alumni Manager shall, upon taking office, signify in writing his agreement with the Jesuit vision and core principles of the School as set out in Article 3 of the Constitution and undertake to faithfully observe and comply with the same.
3. The Alumni Manager shall act in his personal capacity for the interests and benefits of the School and the students of the School.
4. The Alumni Manager shall be responsible for:
- ensuring that the Jesuit vision and core principles of the School as set out in Article 3 of the Constitution is upheld and carried out;
- developing and formulating the educational management policies of the School in accordance with the directions given by the School Sponsoring Body;
- overseeing the planning and budgetary processes, monitoring the performance of the School, ensuring accountability of school management and strengthening the community network;
- holding himself accountable and reporting regularly to the School Sponsoring Body on the performance of the School.
5. The Alumni Manager shall as a member of the IMC have the following obligations:
- to observe and comply with the Jesuit vision and core principles of the School as set out by the School Sponsoring Body in Article 3 of the Constitution;
- to attend meetings of the IMC;
- to observe and obey all resolutions passed by the IMC;
- to assist the IMC in the implementation of its objects in the promotion of the affairs of the School; and
- to promote communication and co-operation between the IMC and the body that nominated him for registration as an Alumni Manager; and
- to observe and comply with such code of ethics or practice guidelines as may be set from time to time by the School Sponsoring Body in accordance with the Jesuit vision and core principles of the School.
6. All members of the IMC shall share the same Jesuit vision and core principles of the School as set out in Article 3 of the Constitution. They shall strive to uphold and carry out their duties in accordance with such Jesuit vision and core principles and shall not, in the opinion of the School Sponsoring Body, act contrary to the Jesuit vision and core principles of the School in their capacity as members of the IMC.
7. To the extent that the Education Ordinance and the IMC Constitution permits, the Alumni Manager shall perform the duties set out in the constitutional document of the PSA Council as amended, supplemented or otherwise modified from time to time. For the avoidance of doubt, where the duties set out in the Education Ordinance and the IMC Constitution conflicts with the constitutional document of the PSA Council, the former prevails.
