WYHK x MSS interview workshop 2024

The recent joint school interview workshop, held between Wah Yan College Hong Kong, and Marymount Secondary School, was designed to help Secondary 5 students prepare for their upcoming university interviews. The workshop covered both the knowledge and mindset needed to succeed, providing students with practical tips on how to answer common questions, structure their responses, and present themselves confidently.

The session also emphasized the importance of mental readiness, encouraging students to approach interviews with a calm and focused mindset. Through discussions and mock interviews, students gained valuable insights into what to expect, how to prepare, and how to handle challenging interview situations effectively.

The workshop was really useful. Young gentlemen and young ladies from both schools had acquired new interview skills from the alumni. It was a collaborative effort to better equip our students for this key step in their academic journey.

Thank you for the principals, Dr. Davis Chan (WYHK), Mr. Kyle Chan (MSS) and the teachers Mr. Tommy Fan (WYHK), Ms. Yvonne Wong (MSS), Ms. Caroline Li (MSS) from both schools who assisted the workshop.

WahYan Job Shadowing 2024

This summer was another exciting year for F.5 Wahyanites to participate in the Job Shadowing program. Alumnae from engineering, technology start-up, biotech, legal, dentistry and medicine had provided opportunities for our Wahyanites. They were able to search their dreams through participating in realistic one to two days job shadowing.

Students found the exposure in different job nature was really useful! Job shadowing had helped them to make decision by choosing the right subject to study in university and further fulfill their dreams.

WYHK x MSS Career Fair 2024

Young Wahyanites behaved exceptionally well when the MSS girls were in the school hall while we kicked off the Career Fair!

Over 200 S5 students from WYHK and MSS participated in the joint school career fair in WYHK campus. 20 alumnae speakers were invited to share their experience and insights from the industry, including Medicine, Vet, Dentistry, Business, Start-up, Accounting, Psychology, Media, Journalism, Athletes, Engineering, Construction and Architecture.

Students enjoyed very much of the event as we were able to invite speakers in a variety of fields. On the other hand, speakers enjoyed very much as so many students had participated. One speaker had even shared his Instagram with the student! Although we only provide 30 minutes per sharing session, some students at the end found some of the sharing was really interesting and would even want to know more!
