WYHK x MSS interview workshop 2025
In this new era of Artificial Intelligence, where resumes and cover letters can be effortlessly crafted by anyone, interview skills have become the defining factor that sets the next generation apart.
This year’s joint-school interview workshop took place at the newly refurbished Innovation Hub on the campus of Wah Yan College, Hong Kong. Secondary 5 students from Wah Yan College, Hong Kong, and Marymount Secondary School came well-prepared with their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) and dressed formally for mock university interviews conducted by alumni from both schools.
Students were matched with alumni from various professions based on their interests. After an introductory briefing on interview skills, students participated in mock interview sessions, including self-introductions, one-on-one interviews, and group discussions. While students were equipped with the knowledge and mindset required for success, alumni offered valuable insights on expectations, preparation strategies, and techniques for handling challenging questions.
A heartfelt thank you to the principals—Dr. Davis Chan (WYHK) and Mr. Kyle Chan (MSS)—and to the teachers Mr. Tommy Fan (WYHK), Ms. Yvonne Wong (MSS), and Ms. Caroline Li (MSS) for their unwavering support in making this workshop a success.
